Describe the door you cannot open

A house lockout starts with a specific door and a specific address. Tell us which entrance you are locked out of and explain what happened with the key. You do not need to name a lock model to describe the issue. Say whether the key is missing, inside the home, or not turning in the lock.

Make the location clear when you call. If the address has a unit number or more than one entrance, include that information. Describing the property door helps keep the request focused on access to your home rather than a separate problem with a vehicle, a business entrance or another lock.

How a home lockout request works

Call to discuss the address, the door and the work involved. We explain the quote before starting work. Our service is mobile, so we come to your location rather than asking you to visit a storefront. The live status on this page shows whether we are open, and the hours table uses Eastern Time.

We ask for identification before opening a home to confirm that the caller is authorized. If your usual document is inside, explain that during the call. The policy still applies to the request; discuss what you have available rather than assuming a locked door changes the need to confirm authorization.

Opening a door is not the same as changing a lock

Being locked out and deciding who should have a working key are different questions. A lockout request concerns opening the home door. Rekeying changes a suitable existing lock so a new key works and the old keys no longer do. That can be useful after moving in or losing a key.

If the lock itself is damaged or unsuitable, repair or replacement may be a separate discussion. Repair addresses a problem that can be fixed in the existing lock; replacement involves fitting another lock. Explain the issue you are seeing so we can discuss the appropriate work before it begins.

Find the service information that fits your home

Use the lock rekeying page if your concern is an old key that still works, or the lock replacement and repair page if the lock is not working as it should. Those pages explain the differences without treating every home lockout as a reason to replace the hardware. Call with your own description of the problem.

We serve Tampa, Brandon, Riverview and Plant City, as well as St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo and Pinellas Park. City links below cover our Hillsborough and Pinellas service area. For business doors or vehicles, use the business lockout or car lockout page. Our FAQ and about page explain the shared hours, payment methods and mobile-service policies.
